Productive Playgroup

About Us & Meet The Team

Our mission is to jump start your child’s academic ability in a comfortable, safe, fun, and creative way that will give them the confidence needed for preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten.

How It Works

Mothers set up playgroups with family and friends to meet in their private homes with other children in the area. This provides the child with a comfortable learning setting. Teachers provide engaging hands-on classes for 1 or 1.5 hours per week.

Playgroups are designed to be small classes from 4 to 6 students only.

Our playgroups provide interaction with other children in a safe friendly environment which is great preparation for Preschool and Kindergarten.

Why It Works

Productive Playgroup uses highly qualified teachers who are continuing their own education annually.

This provides fresh new ideas for your classes. Small playgroup sizes ensure each child gets plenty of one-on-one attention.

Our playgroups do more than just help children prepare academically. Productive Playgroup also helps build social and problem solving skills in a fun safe environment, giving your child a great jump start on Preschool and Kindergarten.

Krista Brown

I graduated from Colorado State University in 2001 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I started my teaching career at one of Colorado’s most well-known Preschool and Daycare centers, where I quickly formed a bond with some of my students and their families. I was young and full of fresh ideas that would prove to be impactful for these kiddos and their academic future. My frustration grew as I was constantly told “stick to the lesson plans we give you.” These kiddos are capable of so much more than what was being presented to them! After talking with some of the moms and hearing what the expectations were for these kiddos entering Kindergarten, I decided to break away from the traditional Preschool teaching setting and start something brand new! In 2002 I launched Productive Playgroup with the idea that teaching small groups of kids, in the comfort of their own homes will give them social aspect of learning needed and the confidence to enter Kindergarten.
